In the course of the consistent development and expansion of ongoing activities and our quality standards, the GSC in May Schwörer Ltd. successfully passed the recertification of the already introduced since 1997 Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 achieved. A consistently high quality of our products and processes is still the guarantor for the satisfaction of our customers and the performance of our products.
On June
21st 2004 GSC succesfully relaunched its homepage
with inreased content and possibilities.
Users now have the opportunity to gather more and
detailed information about the company and its products.
The navigation and layout have been changed, additional
features like videos and a virtual walkabout of the company
have been installed!

GSC implements the
technology of gear honing into its manufacturing processes.
With the permanent extension of our machinery park and
our manufacturing technologies, GSC is now able to offer
its customers geared parts with honed tooth flanks. By honing
the tooth flanks, an improved surface structure is created
that supports noise reduction and a better lubrication.
We are looking forward to your inquiries and hope to further
satisfy your demands.

Guaranteed quality for
our customers!
With our ambition to consistantly improve the GSC Schwörer
GmbH and the will to generate a maximum benefit for our customers,
we improved our certification and are now certified by DIN
EN ISO 9001:2000 from Mai 2003. Just like in the last years,
we provide excellent quality for our customers.

High ratio reduces costs
for gearboxes
Because of an innovation from the GSC Schwörer GmbH, the
manufacturing costs for planetary gearboxes could be reduced
dramatically. The specilaists for planetary and customised gearboxes
managed to realize an extraordinary high ratio of 17.8 in one
planetary stage! That is why no further planetary stages are
necessary and the amount of moving parts could be reduced significantly.
Planetary gearboxes
are in general very compact geraboxes. The bifurcation of forces
to several planet-gears allows to transmit high torques despite
small physical dimensions. Normally, ratios ranging from 4 to
10 per planetary stage are achieved. Higher ratios up to 13
per stage have succesfully beeing used by GSC in several drive
applications for years.
The development of a new drive for a conveyor application challenged
the engineers at GSC to implement an even higher ratio in a
single planetary stage. The predetermined mounting dimensions
and the requirement of multiple ratios within one hollow wheel
lead to a maximum ratio of 17.8 in a single planetary stage.
Geometric reasons require that at maximum ratio only 2 planetary
gears may be used. The application of needle bearings and hardened
geared parts account for a high product lifetime. The helical
toothing thereby provides a sufficient profile-overlap and contributes
to an extremely low noise development. The system is driven
by a three-phase asynchronous motor that is integrated into
the gearunit, which again saves space. The development meets
the requirements of a modern driveunit with high performance
at low production costs.
This example of a customised drive solution shows that the
“tailor-made” solutions made by GSC are near to
the market and definitely in advance of common standardized
gearboxes in terms of technology and costs.
