For the production of worms, worm shafts and threads we can use the non-cutting technology of rolling. In the rolling process, worms and threads are not cut into the workpiece, they are applied by plastic deformation of the workpiece. Profiled coils are pressed onto the surface of the rotating workpiece with a high force until the workpiece has adopted the profile of the coils.

Rolling is a very cost-effective technology in our production process, but because of the applied plastic deformation it is only possible to reach levels of quality that are below the quality of milled worms and worm shafts.
